The Amalfi Coast on Horseback
A unique emotion

Discovering the beauties of the extraordinary Amalfi Coast on horseback, which takes its name from the city of Amalfi and has been registered in the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, is an emotion that we at Club Cavallo Italia offer to those who, like us, love horses and their elegance.
The Amalfi Coast
Called the Pearl of Campania, the coast is a short but extraordinary and unforgettable journey of only 50 kilometers along the Gulf of Salerno, in Campania, not far from Naples, along the Amalfi National Road 163, built in the Bourbon era and considered one of the most beautiful streets of Italy
The beautiful Amalfi Coast is the image of the Mediterranean and is famous all over the world for its natural beauty and for the landscape with imposing slopes, jagged coasts, sea caves, protruding rocks, lush vegetation and its narrow terraces between high rocks heated by the southern sun.

It is a famous holiday destination, characterized by steep cliffs in a jagged coast full of small beaches, splendid fishing villages with pastel colored houses that harmonize beautifully with the extraordinary landscape, terraced vineyards, cultivations of the famous Sorrento lemons, with a view on the sea and sumptuous villas.
The Amalfi Coast on Horseback. Where to go
Riding on the paths of the Amalfi Coast on horseback is a precious and unique experience that brings you in contact with a nature that continually reserves surprises and allows you to reach even the highest points where you will only have to admire the magnificent views without stopping, convinced that you have already seen everything but following the paths, always well marked, which lead to the most beautiful destinations.

To choose among the many routes the ones you love the most we suggest you contact the equestrian centers in the area (you can find them on the site of the Fise Campania Regional Committee) who will be happy to show you their proposals in the Amalfi Coast on horseback.

If, on the other hand, you are traveling with your horse, read our tips on how to travel with the horse here. Thanks.
The beauties of the Amalfi Coast
The Amalfi Coast is also famous for its typical products such as limoncello, the liqueur obtained from cultivated lemons and the ceramics of Vietri and in Vietri our Collection of Hand-Painted Jewels is born in the ancient art of ceramics of Vietri.

To make the Amalfi Coast unique is also its heterogeneity because each of the countries we meet has its own character and traditions.
The Amalfi Coast. The cities
Thirteen cities, each different from the other, to visit without haste, along the coast also known as Divina: Amalfi, Atrani, Cetara, Conca dei Marini, Furore, Maiori, Minori, Positano, Praiano, Ravello, Scala, Tramonti, Vietri sul Sea.

Eating in the Amalfi Coast
The yellow of the lemons, the intense green of the countryside, the blue of the sea are the colors of the cuisine of the Amalfi Coast because the whole territory and its extraordinary cuisine are inextricably linked.
The fabulous beauty of its locations, its art treasures have a background of flavors, aromas and perfumes that become an integral part of this enchantment.
Lemons uniquely mark the landscape of the Amalfi Coast crossed by terraced crops, which are called “gardens” here, and are also the protagonists of many typical recipes.
Not only the famous limoncello liqueur or desserts such as babà, delights, ice cream but also ricotta ravioli flavored with grated zest up to the slices of smoked mozzarella among the lemon leaves.

Shrimps, scorpion fish, pezzogne, occhiate, amberjack, octopus, blue fish, molluscs are the protagonists of dishes that you will not forget like the “scialatielli with seafood”, one of the most typical fresh pasta shapes of the coast.
Anchovies, humble and divine fish, are the stars of an extraordinary product such as the Colatura di alici di Cetara, a sea distillate considered the heir of the ancient Roman garum.
Sleeping in the Amalfi Coast
In this wonderful place on the sea, we recommend a hotel overlooking the sea to enjoy the beauty of the landscape, the sea and the colors.
We have chosen for you the Miramalfi Hotel, in Salvatore Quasimodo Street in Amalfi, the Antico Convitto Hotel in Salita dei Curiali Street, in Amalfi and, if you are looking for a structure with about 800 years of history, the Hotel Luna Convento in Pantaleone Comite Street in Amalfi is for you but, in addition to these, the whole area offers many solutions and you will have no difficulty finding the hotel you are looking for.

On horseback even in…
After visiting the Amalfi Coast on horseback, we recommend you visit Cortina on Horseback, one of the most elegant places in all of Italy.

Cortina is waiting for you
Finally…
To end this journey in beauty, discover how our Murano Glass Horses are born, the excellence of Made in Italy in the most elegant animal (but we don’t like to call it animal)

Before leaving for the Amalfi Coast on horseback, or Cortina d’Ampezzo, for you we have our Bags Collection, naturally dedicated to horses and their elegance, made in Italy by Italian hands in real and soft Italian leather, to… smell, the ideal companion for your travels.
