Cortina d’Ampezzo is one of our suggestions but, if you want, in this page you can suggest us an advice that you would like to read. Thanks.
Our journey in search of the most beautiful, most exclusive and most elegant places in Italy, the world of Club Cavallo Italia and people who love beauty and elegance, today has arrived in Cortina d’Ampezzo, the pearl of the Dolomites.
And if…
And if you too love horses and their elegance as we love them, visit the Club Cavallo Italia Friends page.
Thank you. We waiting for you.

The name Cortina seems to derive from the diminutive Ladin of curtis which, in the Middle Ages, indicated the small communities but could also indicate a small courtyard, a space bordered by a small wall.
Summer in Cortina d’Ampezzo
Spending a summer in Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an extraordinary and unforgettable experience.

Its peaks sculpted by atmospheric agents are today a geological treasure that gives the landscape a unique beauty because the particular type of rock, the dolomite, gives these mountains, at sunrise and sunset, a color that goes from pink to red fire , particularly visible in summer evenings.
Starting from Cortina, the Valle d’Ampezzo is the ideal place to walk and discover a unique and extraordinary world of vertical walls, high altitude pastures, woods, streams, green valleys, lakes and waterfalls.

The surroundings of Cortina offer excursions and trekking but also more than 15 kilometers of equipped paths and vie ferrate to face with carabiners and harnesses, experience and deep knowledge of the mountains.
Finally for those who love cycling Cortina d’Ampezzo offers no less than 16 routes suitable for fans and families.
Winter in Cortina d’Ampezzo
In winter the Queen of the Dolomites is a real paradise for lovers of snow sports with some of the most evocative winter scenery in its over 85 kilometers of slopes of the Dolomiti Superski Circuit, three areas connected by a free ski bus.

Cortina d’Ampezzo is also part of the Dolomitisuperski ski area, one of the largest ski carousels in the world with 450 ski lifts included in a single ski pass for over 1200 kilometers of slopes in 12 different valleys.
Cortina d’Ampezzo is also…
But Cortina d’Ampezzo is not just a sport: it is the only Italian resort among the twelve destinations of the Best of the Alps and is also the queen of cultural, social and enogastronomic entertainment with many proposals for those who love the mountains even without skis at your feet.
Before leaving Cortina d’Ampezzo we discover its traditional flavors, the most classic dishes such as casunziei, a typical specialty of the Ampezzo valley, the traditional Tyrolean dumplings like the spätzle and the unfailing polenta combined with goulash and melted cheese.
We end with the shopping, which in Cortina is all year round: after a long walk or a day spent in the snow we discover that the Pearl of the Dolomites is always at the forefront of trends, customs and fashion.

In fact, since the fifties Cortina has the distinction of the most fashionable holiday resort in Italy where, walking through the streets of the center, you can know in advance the trends of the coming seasons.
Just take a walk through the streets of the center to discover, between a glimpse of sky and the top of a mountain, shops, jewelers and watchmaking, art galleries, antiques and antiques and much more.
Shops and unique boutiques for refined refinement, custodians of original and exclusive items like the elegance of our collections in our online shop (jewelry, bracelets, leather goods…) with Exclusive Service reserved for our customers.
